2 Year Blogiversary

Happy Wednesday everyone,

I have officially been blogging for two whole years! Although recently I haven’t been consistently posting every week, since starting my new job I’m still trying to find balance. But, I am so proud of the fact that I have been committed to this blog for two years!

Cheers to two years… 24 months… 104 weeks! My baby is two y’all!

This blog has provided a writing outlet that I am proud of. I have been on a crazy roller coaster ride these past two years and my readers have stuck with me through it all. I have been able to post my personal journey, events, business ventures, fictional short stories, poems and tutorials. It’s hard to believe that at one point in my life I was terrified to share my writing with anyone outside of my close friend group. My own family had no idea about a lot of my writing. I’ve always felt that part of me was so personal and I wasn’t comfortable being this vulnerable and sharing my thoughts with others.

When I first started this blog I was obsessed with the numbers, the followers, the views, and the growth. Now I am more interested in just sharing my gift and being able to touch someone else. I am still so amazed by new followers and international readers but my focus isn’t to be super popular or have a huge cult following. These days I’m more interested in authenticity and connecting with real genuine support. The inspiration I gain from real people with real stories is unmatched.

When I started this blog I was working for a law firm in SF since then I have started and left multiple job positions. I went from posting my first blog while couch surfing to moving into my own studio to now living in a one bedroom apartment with my partner. This blog has provided a space for me to celebrate the wins, mourn the losses and find motivation in the struggle.

This year alone has been one of the hardest dealing with losing my grandma. In the past my way of coping with deaths and pain was through isolation. I hid those feelings from the outside world. This platform has not only challenged me to be more open but it has taught me how to better communicate.

Thank you to each and every person who has read my blog.

Thank you to each and every one of you. I may not personally know you all but I just want to let you know I see every page view, every like, and every comment. I feel the positive energy that you all send my way. The support has really changed my life. I pray this next year will be greater than the last!

Thanks for reading & we’ll talk more next week!

As a child I wanted to help the world. I wanted to be a neonatal pediatrician. I wanted to travel the world to help women and children during labor and delivery. I watched a tv special on Oprah about women and children in other countries dying at alarming rates during child birth because of lack of resources and I was inspired to somehow save the world one baby at a time. Since then, my vision has slightly changed. My profession isn’t in medicine but I still want to improve women’s health. My focus is still the same, I still have a dream of changing the world. I have now taken a natural holistic approach to tackling women’s health. Beauty and fashion has been a hobby turned obsession of mine. From reading magazines to wardrobe styling to modeling to orchestrating runway shows I dedicated my whole life to the beauty and fashion industry. As time passed, I began to search for the deeper meaning behind the intricate fabrics, fancy shoes, hair and makeup. I have found that health, beauty and fashion are more connected than I thought. My outlet is writing. Through my writing I hope to spark minds and impact individuals to dig deeper.
