Lemon Cookie

Happy Holidays!

With Christmas being a few days away I thought I’d share this gem with you all!

Thanks to Jade and Keia on the Gettin’ Grown podcast I recently found out about Clean Glow Whipped Shea Butter! After hearing Jade talk about how great it smells, I had to try the Lemon Cookie scent first.

I started using Raw Shea Butter on my hair and it feels amazinggg on my scalp. Although it can be used for your skin, I’m not a fan of the smell and it is pretty thick. With that being said I do not use Raw Shea Butter as a daily moisturizer. The lemon cookie whipped shea butter not only smells bomb, it is lightweight and perfect for sensitive skin like mine. It leaves my skin so smooth and soft. I purchased the 4oz jar just to make sure I’d like it and honestly I use it everyday. I use it as hand and body butter because of the fragrance in it I do not use it on my face. I do plan on ordering a bigger jar soon and maybe trying out another scent. She has an assortment of scents like Vanilla Spice, Island Mango, Lavender Field, Rosemary Healer, etc. She also offers unscented whipped shea butter.

It is an added bonus that it is handmade. As stated in my previous post Just Skin, I am looking to support more small black owned natural beauty products! Comment some of your favs below…

Merry Christmas guys! In the spirit of gift giving don’t forget Jesus is the reason for the season. 👼🏽🎁🎄

As a child I wanted to help the world. I wanted to be a neonatal pediatrician. I wanted to travel the world to help women and children during labor and delivery. I watched a tv special on Oprah about women and children in other countries dying at alarming rates during child birth because of lack of resources and I was inspired to somehow save the world one baby at a time. Since then, my vision has slightly changed. My profession isn’t in medicine but I still want to improve women’s health. My focus is still the same, I still have a dream of changing the world. I have now taken a natural holistic approach to tackling women’s health. Beauty and fashion has been a hobby turned obsession of mine. From reading magazines to wardrobe styling to modeling to orchestrating runway shows I dedicated my whole life to the beauty and fashion industry. As time passed, I began to search for the deeper meaning behind the intricate fabrics, fancy shoes, hair and makeup. I have found that health, beauty and fashion are more connected than I thought. My outlet is writing. Through my writing I hope to spark minds and impact individuals to dig deeper.
